Built of solid Northern White Pine, this cannon ball bed was built to order to match an existing bed clients owned for 40 years.
They wished to buy a queen size bed, (but didn't want to give up the style they loved) and move the existing double into a guest
room. The company that they bought the bed from stopped making this style over 30 years ago. They were excited to find Delnero
Fine Furniture not only still built Early American styles, but was able and willing to reproduce their beloved bed.
We still "turn by hand" all our legs, pedestals, knobs, posts, etc. on the lathe with nothing but wood chisels, calipers, and a good eye. It's been 150 years since furniture builders turned wood products in this fashion.

The gentleman we were building this bed for took some digital images of the existing bed, along with dozens of measurements.
