In 2010, a client we were building a custom walnut and tiger maple Master bathroom suite for, intro­duced us to Josh Rich, president of Home Enrich­ment Company. Within no time, Delnero Furniture was bidding on a large custom built-in bookcase cupboard to be installed in a base­ment remodel by Home Enrich­ment. This would prove to be the first of many pro­jects our Companies would collaborate on. Working closely with the Forman on this job, Home Enrichment's Steve Sch­naper, we soon were quite impressed with his atten­tion to detail. Steve's pas­sion to create the best product possible is in­spiring. The five individual components combined, measured 180 5/8" wide x 86" high, and were custom built of hard maple wood. The clients wanted the 12 paneled doors to be "fit doors" set inside the face stiles and rails, and was common workmanship generations past. Simple lines, the use of Euro hinges, and fine hardware help create a modern look. A shot of the units after we fit the doors. It is a time consuming process to fit doors and drawers so the space between them and the faces boards is com­pletely uniform. This is why today you usually find prod­ucts with overlay compo­nents, which require far less labor to install. We always take the time to preassemble multi-pieced units. This not only helps us assure the best fits and fin­ished sanding possible, it is surely appreciated by the installers on the job to have all the holes and such pre­tapped for them. Two of the units in this built-in were to have elec­trical outlets in their bases. We like to cut these quality metal boxes into our work before the final paint or finishes are applied.
