Similar in both dimensions and design to the benches used at the Shaker Village, Enfield, New Hampshire during prayer services. This handsome bench, shown in the book Shaker Furniture Designs by Sprigg, page 83, PL.37 was designed mainly for portability.

When prayer service was over, dancing followed, and the need to move the benches quickly and easily was important. This bench is offered in both four and five foot models.

Shown in pine, it is available in all woods. The dimensions are 48" & 60" long, 31 1/8" high, and 16 1/4" deep.
