Over one hundred years ago, large dairy barns were built of local woods fell near
the site. Hardwoods were used for the long heavy beams that framed the barns.
Pine was used for exterior sheathing and flooring in the hay lofts. The character and
patina found in these old growth lumber can't be beat.
